Hi. My name is Wesley Liu, and I have been playing piano for almost nine years, since I was six years old. Besides learning music, playing piano has been very beneficial for me in some unexpected ways. It has given me confidence, other useful skills (like typing 130+ words per minute), and has been a great method of de-stressing. Overall, I believe music is a gift and opportunity that everyone deserves.
I will participate in a 1-hour practice session which will be shared on Facebook during the 24-hour Practice-A-Thon starting on Friday, June 19 at 4PM.
Join me in making music more widely available to Newark's Youth. Help us provide students with the technology and resources to learn piano with us from home for Keys 2 Success. $500 can buy an instrument plus online learning equipment for 1 student. Each additional $100 can sponsor 1 week of piano camp for 1 child this summer. Thanks to your support, students who don't have access to these resources will now be able to experience the gift of music. Please show them that we care, and that they are not forgotten even in times like this.
